Ask Design & Build started in Yorkshire over 10 years ago, working locally and then across the UK including Guernsey.
Staying a small business mainly working for private households although have done occasional commercial work.

Our team consists of skilled building tradesman to experienced workers in the trade whilst encouraging younger less experienced to develop their skills in the industry.

Andy did all the building elements of our barn conversion. The first part of this was digging out the mixed stone and cement floor, and laying a new concrete slab to the required height. He also installed a new beam to replace the existing wooden one holding the mezzanine floor up, reopened a blocked-up window and door and broke through an incredibly thick stone wall to connect the barn to the main house. He also needed to create steps from the barn to the house to account for a difference in height due to the property's sloping. I could not believe how little mess was created by knocking through as Andy built a tent-type structure to keep the worst out of my living room. When I searched for a builder for this job I was looking for someone old school who knew exactly what he was doing and would take pride in doing it to a high standard, this is exactly what I found with Andy and his team and would definitely recommend him to anyone who needs building work doing.
